speaking of which, there are SO MANY eucalyptus at my school
and they really stink! what fragrance?! overconcentration of a smell in the glands can be really bad. especially mixed with rotting leaf and bark on the ground with the humidity of coastal weathers. speaking of which, obviously it's not native here. according to my lecturer, its introduced since its apparently an australian thing only. if only they'd have imported the koalas too...

when at kent ridge park, theres this 2 eucalyptus and when we show people the tree, must try so hard to smell it, some more must crush leaf to smell. HERE, omfg i can't wait to get out of the E-zone! it'll beat a life long supply of eucalyptus oil.

talk about AROMA-therapy! now i need therapy!

i've been wanting to blog about this! lol now i'll just rant it here :P

gorilla

We went there last August/September. Freezing cold in the mountains and too foggy to get good sights. My mom had a good freeze!

I grew up not far from here and I know the area really well. The Black Spur road is called Maroondah Highway and is 14kms past a town called Healesville, 60 kms north-east of Melbourne. It is a gorgeous part of the world and I love re-visiting it on the rare occasion that I am in the area.

We stayed at the Healesville Hotel in the town itself for a couple of nights and drove around the region. It's a really good (and not overly distant) respite from Melbourne and must be a lovely place to grow up in.
