In the meantime, the monkey can give W a goodbye kiss on my behalf.
For mrs budak, please feed the fish every other day (a pinch of the Sera GV Mix or Cyclopeeze flakes for each tank), including the lone betta by the kitchen window (remember to cover the tank with plastic after feeding).
Water the plants on the porch on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Monday (one bottle per watering, a little more for the large, droopy plant). Water the kitchen plants every other day. And give the bathroom plants a shower (cold water) when you bathe. If possible, top up the big tank and Angel's drinking tank with fresh tap water on the weekend.
That's all for housekeeping. Angel can have my side of the bed.
At Kinokuniya, I browsed the new book "Winged Invaders: 'Pest Birds' and Humans" by Navjot Sodhi and Ilsa Sharp. Besides the usual feathered rats and flying cane toads, a surprise finding was that the authors claim the black-naped oriole is a non-native to Singapore, with the local population thought to be Indonesian in origin and the species existing naturally in the wild only in the Philippines.
sorry for the late bon voyage. we just got back from penang. the trip back was hell. i think it'd be very hard for us to agree that penang transit system is one of the best in malaysia (according to a friend) - we had a hell of a time.

hmm i must say though the rest of the trip was really really enjoyable. will blog about it soon. did not managed to go to the botanic gardens though. sorry. it was a freaking sauna, we tried to stay indoors most of the time. encountered simians in penang hill. that's the most nature we caught on film
