A styracosaur and stegosaur meander through the wet kitchen floor. The pair is periodically mismatched – advanced ceraptosians emerged in the mid Cretaceous long after the last stegosaurs staggered into the rocks of eternity. For a moment, they trace a still path on the tiles, toes splayed and chiselled muscles taut, before my disengaged duck, a far more evolved archosaur, reassigns them to shelves cluttered with the wastes of neglect and insouciance.
Theropods are boring. Viva la Ornithischia!
