Common sun skink (Mabuya multifasciata) at the Lower Peirce Reservoir Trail this afternoon. Plus a few other tetrapods I sighted despite the tremendous amount of noise pollution along the trail (a pair of wandering monks were among the loudest walkers!). Why do some people insist on playing music out loud while walking through the woods? And is the bird on the left a juvenile crimson sunbird? (husky thinks so, yay!) Didn't see any monkeys in the forest for once – they must be all busy working on their final year projects...
Beautiful photo.

What sort of loud music do monks listen to?

the monks weren't listening to music but talking in some dialect so loudly that I could hear them approaching a minute or so before they actually appeared. Music blasters tend to teenagers who clearly cannot afford to buy earphones after spending a bomb on MP3 sound blasting mobile phones.
